During our latest meeting Alison officially took over the reins from Hermione as Holmfirth WI's new President. Alison has a wealth of experience running businesses and chairing meetings so we will be in safe hands. Alison has been a lifelong knitter who was taught by her grandad when she was very young (he'd learned to knit so he could send socks to the soldiers in WWI!). Alison joined the WI mainly for the craft group but found the meetings really informative: raising her awareness of local and national issues. Alison loves reading, doing crosswords and walking her two dogs, Lily and Milly. Welcome aboard!
