Some members of our Pratty Flowers and Veg sub-group ventured out to Slaithwaite to visit the amazing Edibles garden. 'Edibles is a market garden, community resource and training centre in the Colne Valley, South Pennines. We're committed to no dig, agroecological and permaculture approaches, looking after and building the soil, from which everything starts. We supply veg boxes direct to customers, to restaurants and our local community shop'. Our members enjoyed exploring their 7 acres which comprises allotments, polytunnels, forest gardens and wildflower meadows. I have a funny feeling that we may be going back there again soon.
