Our WI took part enjoying another very satisfying litter pick over the weekend. Holmfirth WI officially registered with Keep Britain Tidy as part of their #pledgetopick incentive. Did you know that the whole Keep Britain Tidy #KeepBritainTidy campaign was a The WI (National Federation of Women's Institutes) resolution raised in the 1920s. It was officially put forward by Northumberland Federation’sRiver Holme Connections 1954 and lead to the 1958 Litter Act and the formation of the Keep Britain Tidy Group.
