Simon Hirst, River Steward at River Holme Connections, provided us with a very informative session last night. We learned all about their fabulous work developing riverside areas, the importance of keeping the river clean and planting trees to preserve the banks. We posed a lot of questions, as usual, which were expertly answered. River Holme Connections are our supported charity for a second year running and we are extremely grateful to them for lending us equipment for our vitally important litter picks.
