To celebrate the much-anticipated start of the real Sewing Bee, our enthusiastic Sewing Bee So Crafty splinter sub-group gathered again to attempt to make little pyramid bags. Each member brought their own unique fabrics, ranging from vibrant patterns to soft pastels, ensuring that every bag would have its own character and charm. However, the evening wasn't entirely smooth sailing! We encountered a couple of particularly mischievous sewing machines that seemed to have a mind of their own, causing much frustration. Despite these challenges, the camaraderie and determination of our members shone through as we supported one another in troubleshooting the machines' quirks. As we tackled the intricate process of zip insertions, many of us found ourselves learning new techniques and sharing tips and advice. The 'bagging out' method, which involves turning the bag right side out through a small opening, proved to be another hurdle requiring careful manipulation and a bit of brut force, but with patience and teamwork, we managed to overcome these obstacles. Everyone had a great evening and we're really looking forward to our next project.
