Last night we broke rank and enjoyed our monthly meeting at Totties Garden Centre. They were the perfect hosts and provided an educational and informative talk about growing edibles in planters: a window box of lettuce; a hanging basket of tomatoes; wall hung chillies. We learned about the importance of soil maintenance and some handy tips with regards to companion planting to help keep those pesky bugs at bay. I don't think Ian meant it when he asked for a sample of all our beer tap ale, but you never know!
